Best of British 2006 offers all your favourites and some new talent too.
Performers include singers Alexandra Bak (soprano), Mark Alderson (baritone) and Justin Friend (tenor), plus Andrew Gardner (organist), David Murray (piper), Adrian Bowen (saxophonist), with the Perth Pops Orchestra and The New I Voci Singers.
In addition to the regular favourites, including ‘Jerusalem’, ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory’, the audience will be treated to trumpet and saxophone solos, vocal solos with piano or orchestra, much-loved orchestral works and some delightful choral selections from the British Isles.
A feature will be the popular Scottish sing-along and some rousing British pub songs.
David Hawkes comperes this, the 15th annual presentation of this event.
Please note: A pre-concert function called Costume Spectacular will be held at 6.30pm for patrons attending in costume. This event must be booked when purchasing tickets.
